We may collect information you provide or that is generated when you use the service, including: phone number (for OTP sign-in), name, optional profile photo, tasks you create or receive (title, description, status, priority, due dates, reminders), messages sent inside a task's subchat, notification preferences, and basic usage or device information needed to run the app securely.

If you choose to sync contacts, we may process contact-related information to show which contacts may already use the app and to help you invite others. You can skip or limit this where your device allows.

We use information to operate Ortexus: authenticate you, sync tasks and messages, deliver notifications and reminders, show task status to the people involved in a task, and improve reliability and security.

Task titles, descriptions, and subchat messages are used to provide the collaborative task experience you request. We do not use this product to offer unrelated AI features in the MVP.

We do not sell your personal information.

We may share information with service providers that help us operate the service. That can include hosting, database and authentication (such as Supabase), push notifications (such as Firebase Cloud Messaging), and analytics or security vendors when we need them. These providers process data only to perform services for us and are bound by appropriate obligations.

Content you add to a task (including subchat messages) is shared with the other participant(s) on that task as part of normal use. It is not shared publicly unless you use a feature that explicitly shares it beyond the app.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.

No method of storage or transmission over the internet is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

You may be able to update profile information, manage tasks and messages, or stop using the service at any time, subject to technical and legal retention requirements.

You can control permissions such as contacts, notifications, or other device settings through your device or operating system where applicable.
